iGATM
The Global Air Traffic Management (iGATM) app improves access to Communication, Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) Storefront resources.
The Challenge
The CNS/ATM Center of Excellence (COE) distributes information to the broader aviation community and is an integral Air Force function. Without a robust web presence, CNS/ATM COE can’t effectively share resources and expertise with the Air Force community.
The Solution
iGATM streamlines communication and access to CNS/ATM resources by providing a secure and accessible file-sharing repository. The site enables system program office (SPO) engineers to submit, and CNS/ATM engineers to approve, airworthiness and support requests. So far, iGATM has:
- Modernized a legacy process reliant on email, phone calls, and other manual tools
- Improved resource access for aircraft program offices, avionics engineers, and budget planners across the Air Force
- Developed a calendar that houses all CNS/ATM events and allows event notifications and group registrations
